If you are planning on buying or selling a home in the future, paying for the services of a Realtor may seem to be an action you can skip. Saving money this way can cost you a vast amount more in the end. Research has shown that you will most likely spend 20% more on the procuring of your own home, versus what a Realtor would have cost at 3 to 4 % for the same amount of work.

The work they do is the key to the cost of purchasing or selling your home. With their service you, on the other hand, will only have to make a few phone calls, look at the listings, and receive a few visitors to your home, then sign some paperwork, hand over a check, or get one. Without their help, you will encounter a particular daunting challenge that will take up your valuable time, and be extremely aggravating in the process.

Time is the answer to their success as Realtors and to yours if you buy their services. They have taken the time to get trained by going to school to learn the intricate details of their business. Time in the field has given them the contacts needed to accelerate the process of your buy or sell. They have taken the time to gather all the contractors, inspectors, consultants, and legal professionals involved.

Marketing your home is a valuable resource that will confirm your home is out there for prospective buyers to see. Sticking a for sale sign in your yard and calling it marketing, is not going to sell your home. A Realtor knows the main points of your home, the location, and all the benefits it offers. They will use that information and put it where they know it will do the most good.

Most people do not even know how a home pricing gets formulated. Without this knowledge, you could be selling your home for thousands under the real value. Alternatively, you are overpricing it right off the market. The Realtor has access to numerous materials you do not that allow them to calculate the cost of a home. A competitive market analysis is part of their job they use it every day and know the valuable information it contains.

So unless, you have a degree in real estate law, the training of a financial planner, the resources of a lending agent, and a staff of private contractors and inspectors, you want to leave the successful business of selling or buying property to those who have those resources.
